Anna-Luise Lorenz is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator. Her research-based art oscillates around the anomalies of empiricism and rationalism, exploring the weird, absurd, and enigmatic processes within biological and technological systems. Using media such as installation, performance, games, and fictional short stories, she investigates human and non-human agents as catalysts for new hybrid beings, envisioning possible worlds yet to emerge.
Her work has been showcased nationally and internationally, including at the Meet Digital Culture Center Milan, Futurium Museum Berlin, Design Biennial Ljubljana, Venice Biennale of Architecture, and HEK Basel.
In 2019, she was a researcher with The New Normal Think Tank at the Strelka Institute in Moscow. Anna regularly lectures at various universities. Alongside her artistic endeavors, she runs her own design practice, engaging in collaborative projects with both cultural and commercial clients.
